The Arnott Biscuit Tin Collection
The Arnott Biscuit Tin Collection is the largest such collection on public viewing in Australia and contains 360 tins. A heritage display that will bring back memories of one history of Australiana.
The Arnott tin collection commenced about five years ago and is now the largest such collection on public viewing, covering the walls of the Cellar-Door, and containing a total of 360 tins varying in age from the early 1900s to the present time.
A special feature of the tin collection is a set of six cuddly bears and three small biscuit tins contained in a glass cabinet.
This collection were part of a special Arnott’s promotion in Brisbane in 2003. The faces on the cuddly bears correspond to the faces on the bears in the cabins of the biscuit tins.
Other biscuit tins representing individual bears, yellow in colour were issued and can be seen in the photo on a shelf set about the glass cabinet.
This is a rare collection.
